FOX Sports Chicago will present all six state title games on live television.(Sports) - Daily Herald (Arlington Heights, IL)

For the 13th consecutive year, FOX Sports Chicago and the Illinois High School Association will deliver live coverage of every football title match-up on Thanksgiving weekend.

FOX Sports Chicago's IHSA telecast package, the largest television school package in the nation, will showcase comprehensive coverage of the '98 IHSA Football Championships from Illinois State University's Hancock Stadium.

The action takes place on Friday with the 1A, 2A and 3A title contests and on Saturday with the 4A, 5A and 6A championships.

The IHSA 6A championship on Saturday will air live on FSC PLUS at 7 p.m.

FOX Sports Chicago will replay the 6A title game at 2:30 a.m. later that evening and again on Monday, Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m.

Announcing tandems for the football championships will be Mike Leiderman (play-by-play) and Downers Grove South coach Jack McInerney (color analyst) covering the 1A, 5A and 6A championships.

Brian Davis (play-by-play) and former Chicago Bear Al Harris (color analyst) will handle 2A, 3A and 4A matchups.

'The IHSA fall championships have been a proud tradition of our network for the past 13 years,' said James J. Corno, FOX Sports Chicago's senior vice president/general manager.

'Our exclusive Thanksgiving weekend coverage of the football championships brings families throughout Illinois together to watch these great games.'

The 1998 IHSA Football Championships on FOX Sports Chicago schedule:

Friday: Class 1A, 11 a.m. (live), Leiderman/McHenry; Class 2A, 3 p.m. (live), Davis/Harris; Class 3A, 7 p.m. (live), Davis/Harris.

Saturday: Class 4A, 11 a.m. (live), Davis/Harris; Class 5A, 3 p.m. (live), Leiderman/McInerney; Class 6A, 7 p.m. (live-FSC PLUS), Leiderman/McInerney; 2:30 a.m. (FSC delay); Monday, Nov. 30, 7:30 p.m. (FSC tape).
